Safe Homemade Squirrel Repellent Methods to Scare of Squirrels
Do you have a really hard time protecting your garden from attacks from squirrels?
Have you tried to find an effective squirrel repellent that gets rid of them once and for all?
Well, if you still have squirrels, then chances are you have not come across the best squirrel repellents available. If you know the nature of squirrels, you will know that they burrow and dig their way through any garden and consume what they want to in the process of doing that.
So just what are your options? Well, you can help to get rid of squirrels in your yard by:
- Making your own squirrel repellent that chases them away for good
- Use the Squirrel Evictor mechanism to chase squirrels and other pesky animals away
Use a Homemade Squirrel Repellent to Get those Squirrels Away
It is very easy to make your own squirrel repellent to get rid of annoying and overbearing squirrels in your yard. With a saucepan on the stovetop, fill it about three-quarter way with water and turn the fire on. While it had started to warm, you can do the following activities:
- Chop onion and fresh jalapeno peppers into small pieces
- Put both chopped onion and chopped jalapeno peppers into the boiling water
- Add one tablespoon each of paprika and cayenne pepper to the water
- Allow the ingredients of the pot to boil and then remove from the stove
Let it stand for about 25 minutes, then use a strainer to pour the mixture through so you can get a clean clear fluid. Once it is cool enough, pour it into a spray bottle. With the spray bottle in hand, make a move to your garden and start spraying the plants that are typically plagued by squirrel attacks. You will find that those pesky little creatures will stay very far from your garden thereafter!
Get them Out of your House with the Squirrel Evictor!
Some squirrels actually pass the garden and get into your attic or basement. Those are definitely much harder to get rid of than the ones outdoors. The best method for clearing your attic space of squirrels is to use the Squirrel Evictor. The Evictor is actually a high intensity strobe light that helps to rid your home of squirrels and other creatures like raccoons and rats.
What basically happens with the Squirrel Evictor is that the high intensity light bothers their eyes and inevitably affects their life cycle. Keeping that strobe light on as the only source of light in the attic is the perfect way to chase those squirrels out! After about a month of keeping the strobe light on, you can seal up any holes that the squirrel may have used to enter your attic.
Squirrels can be hard to track down and locate, especially if they are deliberately hiding from you! But nobody wants to use inhumane squirrel traps to get rid of those cute but annoying creatures! As a safe and humane alternative, choose one of the effective squirrel repellents previously mentioned and you are guaranteed to get rid of them eventually!
